Russian folklore has come to life in this five-reel, 20-payline slot from Quickspin. Slavic folk hero Ivan Tsarevich is embarking on a quest to defeat the Immortal King, Koschei – but it won’t be easy. Koschei’s life force is hidden in a needle inside an egg inside a duck inside a hare inside a chest; you must unlock the chest and destroy the needle, and only then will you be able to take down Koschei and keep his gold for yourself. Do you have what it takes to help Ivan fulfil his destiny?
Assuming you answered yes to that question, your adventure begins in a lush green forest. With an enchanting fairytale-esque soundtrack, blue skies and birds tweeting in the distance, everything seems peaceful and calm – that is, until you notice the sword propped against the tree and the magical portal on one of the rocks. If that doesn’t put you off and you’re still willing to go forth on your quest, read on...
As you move forward in your journey, you may encounter an enigmatic witch known as Baba Yaga. She swoops in in her barrel, and if she’s in a good mood, she’ll help you out by hiding four adjacent symbols on the reels. These are then replaced in one of two ways:
Keep an eye out for bonus scatters as well, as getting three or more of these unlocks the extra spins. You’ll then be transported to a much darker, more menacing environment, where gold coins, gems, swords and skulls litter the rock formations behind the reels. Three bonus scatters will trigger ten extra spins at chest level, while four bonus scatters will activate 14 extra spins at hare level. If you’re lucky enough to get five bonus scatters, you’ll be rewarded with 18 extra spins at duck level.
There are also progress scatters within the extra spins round – collect three of them and you’ll fill up the meter on the left of the reels, activating the next multiplier level. For every multiplier level activated, four additional extra spins are awarded.
Can you help Ivan on his quest to defeat the evil Koschei? If so, don’t keep him waiting – play Ivan and the Immortal King!
